An exiting opportunity has arisen for somebody who wants to learn Spanish and live in Mexico. The Oaxaca Times is looking for a flexible journalist to take over from the existing editor. The successful applicant will have two years minimum journalistic experience. The role involves all aspects of editorial work including commissioning and editing.

Therefore solid experience of subbing, proof reading, preparing pages for layout and reporting is essential. Basic knowledge of photoshop and quark is beneficial. A level of spoken Spanish is helpful but not essential. A 3-month minimum commitment is required and payment will work on an exchange basis with Spanish lessons and accomodation.
